I started this website because I was feeling sentimental and thinking back to the "good old days" when I was young, single, and in love with Cancun.   I began browsing the internet, searching for familiar sites and faces.  Despite the unending list of websites with Cancun themes, I couldn’t find any that related to the Cancun I knew fifteen or twenty years ago.  Could it really be that long ago?

I assumed I wasn’t the only person who might be interested in finding this information.  Since I couldn’t find it, I decided to start this website.  I hope to find other people who enjoyed Cancun in the 1980s and 1990s.  I offer this website as a place to share those memories.

With a little luck, perhaps we can start a community.  Somewhere to spend some time, share our photos and memories, talk about the good times we had, make new friends and reunite with old friends.

My information and photos are in Cancun and the surrounding areas from about 1985 through 1992. I'd like to keep this website related to Cancun, Mexico from the 1980s through the early to mid 1990s. Earlier information is great too. If you have it and want to share it, I have no problem with that.

Since there are sooooooo many "Spring Break" websites and current day travel websites, I'd prefer to keep the past decade on those sites and not on mine. Please don't take offense, it's more of a space issue. It would take no time to flood my site with data from today.

Oh, and by the way, I have nothing against drinking or Spring Break. I've had more than my share of times of having one too many Margaritas in Cancun, and unfortunately usually doing something stupid. I realize drinking is a big part of many trips and photos, including my own. Actually most of my pictures are in bars or restaurants, so it's more the time frame I'm trying to control, not the photo content.
